She graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical Faculty. She has started her specialisation training in Istanbul Medical Faculty Gynecologic Diseases and Obstetrics right after her graduation. She has focused mainly on fetal dopplers during high risk pregnancies.

She has completed her specialty training in 2002 upon completing her dissertation.

In 2002, she has taken part in building the health infrastructure in Afghanistan as a consultant for the State Department.

She has started working in the first private in vitro fertilisation center in Turkey with Prof. Dr. Teksen Çamlıbel.

She was in charge of the in vitro fertilisation center until 2017.

She has completed her doctrate on the subjects of molecular biology in MIT and Genetic and Biotechnology Engineering in Yeditepe University. She has completed her doctrate dissertation on endometriosis and endometrial stem cells.

While founding her private in vitro fertilisation center in 2017, where she continues treatment for patients, Batukan also continues her work on stem cell and genetics for the cellular indications and endometrial receptives, which will lead to early diagnosis of endometriosis, at Yeditepe University Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Faculty.

Recurring failures of in vitro fertilisation and recurring miscarriages are her specialty.
